| [ TransCor is Flexible ]
A
short deadline or a prisoner with special medical needs can be especially
problematic for your department to move. While both examples might
also prove challenging for TransCor, our size and dispersed agent
force enable us to arrange a timely and cost-effective solution
to even your trickiest prisoner transportation needs.
TransCor
has been transporting prisoners since 1990. Our experience tells
us what will and what won’t fit into our normal ground system.
Our goal is to save you money by eliminating potential medical expenses
up front by recognizing these cases and recommending a Flex or Air-X
move.
When customers have prisoners or deadlines that
require individual attention, dedicated TransCor staff work with
the customer to determine the most timely and practical way for
a prisoner to be transported from pick up to the drop off location.
Such moves – called Flexes or Air-Exes – are uniquely
planned to meet the individual needs of each request, and priced
at competitive, cost-effective rates. TransCor is one of the only
companies in the industry with sufficient manpower, equipment and
expertise to plan and perform a specialized transport for you.
The recent relocation of our front-line staff
to our various hub locations in strategic regions across the country
make TransCor even better prepared to offer customers competitive,
cost-effective rates to perform moves that fall outside our normal
ground transportation network. The dispersed locations of our agents
also increase our ability to respond in a timelier manner.
The nature of flex moves varies. Depending on
factors such as the prisoners location, the medical problem being
faced, the distance to the prisoner destination and the timeframe
of the customer’s need, the special trips may be executed
in a couple of different ways.
Ground Flex. Is a trip that requires
dedicated agents and vehicles to move a prisoner from an location
in the United States to their destination point. While performing
a flex, the team does not perform other pick-ups and drop offs,
but is truly dedicated to the completion of one order. In some situations,
transport via a commercial airline makes the most financial and
logistical sense.
Air-Flexes. Also require dedicated
agents and are most commonly used for prisoners needed in the requesting
jurisdiction in a short timeframe, for juveniles traveling distances
that would require overnight stops on the road, or for prisoners
with serious medical conditions.
In both cases, the customer, are involved in all
decisions and give approval before the move is performed.
The next time you face an especially
problematic move, give us a call at 1-800-737-9190. We are here
to help move your prisoner and save you money!
